  • 1 knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 potatoes
  • 80 g bacon lardons or diced chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Grated cheese (optional)
  • A few tomato slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut them into small cubes.
  3. Rinse the potato cubes under cold water.
  4. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  5. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  6. Add the potatoes.
  7. Cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
  8. Add the bacon lardons or diced chicken.
  9. Stir regularly.
  10. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  11. Once the potatoes are golden, season with salt and black pepper.
  12. Add grated cheese if desired.
  13. Allow the cheese to melt slightly.
  14. Serve immediately.

Top the skillet with a fried egg just before serving for an even heartier meal.
