Ingredients
- 1 burger bun
- 1 beef patty
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1/2 onion
- A few tomato slices
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- Your favorite sauce
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Peel the onion.
- Slice the onion into thin strips.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- Add the onions to the pan.
- Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Add a pinch of sugar to lightly caramelize the onions.
- Stir regularly until a soft onion jam forms.
- Set the onions aside.
- Cook the beef patty in the same pan.
- Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- Place the cheese slice on top of the patty.
- Allow the cheese to melt.
- Slice the burger bun in half.
- Lightly toast the bun in the pan.
- Spread your favorite sauce on the bottom bun.
- Place the cheeseburger patty on top.
- Add the tomato slices.
- Top with the onion jam.
- Close the burger with the top bun.
- Serve immediately.
